As many of you know, my journey with Riley has been filled with both good and bad days. Navigating the world with Riley has opened my eyes to the significant barriers that children with special needs face, especially when it comes to sensory overload. There have been countless moments where I've wished I could just blink my eyes twice and be at home when the world became too overwhelming. This experience inspired me to create "Smart Spots", an organization dedicated to providing mobile sensory rooms for special needs children in various environments. Our goal is to ensure that every child has access to a peaceful space when they need it most, whether at school, community events, or in public places. Today, Iām excited to share our GoFundMe campaign to help us begin our services and build sensory rooms in Texas and Wisconsin.
