New Hope After School students began their Christmas vacation with an exciting celebration. They were treated to a surprise party featuring a delicious spread of hamburgers, chips, donuts, sugar cookies, and brownies. The festivities continued with dancing and karaoke, making it a memorable start to their holiday break.

The Winter Carnival event for the entire New Hope After School Program was a huge success! The children had an amazing time enjoying activities like the Bouncy House, Axe Toss, Bowling, Bean Bag Toss, Basketball, and more. They also loved the treats, including popcorn, cotton candy, hamburgers, and chips. Everyone had a fantastic time, staff included!

Tuesday was Movie Day, and we kept it festive with a Christmas theme. We watched two films—one about the birth of Jesus Christ and the other, Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat’s Christmas. They learned about the meaning behind Christmas and the tradition of exchanging gifts. All while sipping and savoring hot chocolate with marshmallows.

With December here and Christmas approaching, we kicked off the season by creating snow globes and Christmas ornaments.

Supplies Needed:
1. Plastic snow globe
2. Distilled water
3. Glitter ( assorted colors )
4. Glycerin or baby oil
5. Holiday figurines
Instructions:
1. Put glue on the inside of the snow globes lid. Place and stick your child's plastic figurine on it.
2. Fill the jar with cold water.
3. Add 1-2 teaspoons of glitter and stir.
4. Add a few drops of glycerin.
5. Screw the lid on the jar. ...
6. Attach a ribbon if desired.
