Fordham Minority Association for Pre-Health Students MAPS The Minority Association for Pre-Health Students seeks to raise minority matriculation into all professional health related programs.

The purpose of the Minority Association for Pre-Medical Students at Fordham University is to provide pre-health students with knowledge, skills, and experience that are both prerequisite and affiliated to professional participation in health care fields. We also strive to improve minority matriculation into all professional health related programs, with an emphasis both on medicine and allied heal

th careers. The MAPS program will represent the interests and concerns of Pre-Health students and serve the needs of the underserved populations in urban settings throughout New York City, where they are affected by health disparities such as diabetes, HIV/AIDS, obesity, and asthma.
