The Michael Nolan Foundation

The Michael Nolan Foundation The Michael Nolan Foundation was created in memory of the innocent Oakland Athletics baseball player that was killed in a drive by shooting in 2015.

In September 2015, Michael Nolan, a 23 year old Oakland A's prospect, was visiting his friends in his hometown of Yonkers, NY when he was fatally shot in a senseless drive-by shooting. In his memory, Mike's family and friends created this scholarship so student athletes like himself would have the opportunity to realize their dreams and attend college. The committee has also taken on the epidemic

of illegal guns being used in violent crimes and strive to eliminate them and their users from our streets permanently. The Michael Nolan Scholarship Fund provides eight scholarships a year to students of Yonkers Public Schools and also helps other charitable organizations. In Michael’s memory we not only do what’s right for the kids in need and other organizations we fight for a better tomorrow with different things in the community and also making public speeches about different topics.
