Casita Maria Center for Arts & Education is proud to provide free after-school and summer programming for elementary school children in the South Bronx. But our work does not end there.
Giving Tuesday is December 1, and this year, we are inviting supporters to help sustain the programs, events, partnerships, and community spaces that make arts and cultural access possible throughout the year.
Casita Maria brings the South Bronx community together to celebrate, honor, and experience our rich cultural heritage through music and dance festivals, gallery exhibitions highlighting local artists, and programming that engages families in the arts. In the last year, more than 9,800 community members engaged in the arts through free programs or events hosted by Casita Maria, including more than 3,100 visitors at our annual South Bronx Culture Festival in May.
Free access to arts and cultural programming requires more than a single act or commitment – it depends on staff, artists, teaching partners, materials, welcoming spaces, community relationships, and the daily coordination needed to keep these opportunities available to children, families, artists, and neighbors.
As Giving Tuesday approaches, we hope you will keep Casita Maria in mind and consider making a gift to help sustain arts education, cultural programming, and community-centered creativity in the South Bronx.
Thank you for being part of the community that helps this work continue.
