Our Story

The PSS Youth & Young Adult Success Program (YYAS) is a vital part of the PSS/WSF Grandparent Family Apartments’ Kinship Caregivers Support Program. Many of our youth who are being raised by their grandparent need exposure to role models, college opportunities and job possibilities. This volunteer driven program was created to help meet the growing needs of our young adults who are transitioning into the next phase of their lives. Through YYAS young adults: • Receive support and counseling from the social work team • Participate in workshops and training's that focus on character development and life skill building • Are exposed to career opportunities via trips to various employers and colleges • Develop their leadership skills by being involved in committees to aid in the strategic implementation of this project • Learn the importance of networking and making connections in reaching their goals
