I’RAISE seeks to help young women of color to develop a healthy self-image and self-worth for the purpose of increasing the self-esteem of young females in the minority community. I’RAISE will give a voice to those that have felt powerless and hopeless by means of helping young girls to understand their life journey and sense of purpose in life. I’RAISE will give back power to girls that have been

exploited, violated, and manipulated by means of helping young girls to understand and embrace their inner beauty and talents as well as give them the platform to express such talents with confidence. I’RAISE will be a safe haven and a safe place to girls that have felt unwanted, unloved and rejected by family, peers and society. I’RAISE will bring hope, restoration and empowerment to young girls and cultivate the next generation of world leaders in the minority community by instilling principles, morals, values and education, into the lives of young minority women.

It’s a reminder that when Black girls know they’re seen, they begin to see what’s possible for themselves.

We began this campaign with one truth: too many Black girls know what it feels like to be unseen.

We close with a promise—to keep building spaces where they are seen, heard, affirmed, protected, and encouraged to lead.
