Our JBOLC opening weekend! Starting June 20th.

A celebration of Juneteenth on our 7th season!

Our JBOLC Garden Community is a weekly community gathering. We started our market in August of 2020 - during the Covid Pandemic - to ensure that our neighbors could access local farm-fresh produce in a safe, friendly, beautiful space next to Meg’s Garden and Edible Forest. Now in our 7th season, we operate at the same location that has become James Baldwin Plaza - a DOT Pedestrian Plaza - we’re on the map!

🌞 Making progress in time for the JBOLC Market Season.

We've been working to transform the community garden into an Educational Garden of Cultural Heritage, growing culturally relevant plants to share with our community.

Shoutout to CitizensNYC, and our dedicated volunteers who helped make this possible!

The Butterfly is happy to come back to Joyce Kilmer Park to pollinate love once again in the Highbridge community. Last year we shared our " Celebrate Mother" traveling mural art we donated to James Baldwin Outdoor Learning Center

Come out and make friends in the community and meet other vendors, artists, organizations and community partners supporting the Friends of 4 Parks or join in and table!

Their mission to sponsor and administer local family-friendly programs and activities promoting environmental support, community engagement and maintenance of green spaces of Macombs Dam Park, Franz Sigel Park, Foster Park and Joyce Kilmer Park in the South Bronx.
