We’re back with another ✨STAFF SPOTLIGHT✨ for this week! Today we give a warm and special shoutout to our associate conductor and HBV instructor, Chandler Scott! We are so grateful for her continued passion for teaching music to the students in our Bronx community. 🎶
A proud Georgia native, Chandler Scott (she/her) is a dynamic music educator and choral conductor with over 11 years of experience. She earned her undergraduate degree in Music Education in Georgia and her Master of Music Education from Florida State University, specializing in choral music, choral conducting, and innovative strategies for special education learners. She recently became the founding Director of Music at P17X High School in East Bronx—a school dedicated to educating students with moderate to severe autism. Chandler delivers engaging, inclusive musical experiences that spark creativity and academic excellence. Beyond the classroom, Chandler is deeply committed to choral excellence through her active participation through the years in community and professional choirs, most recently serving five seasons with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus. Her leadership is marked by a passion for singing and creating, a focus on building trust and community, and a dedication to nurturing student leadership and independence in every ensemble.
