In recognition of Black Maternal Health Week, the Theta Rho Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority hosted a powerful conversation on the importance of advocacy, support, and equity in maternal care.

We’re joined by Theresa Lasbrey Peters, Founder of Nnenna Birth, Doula, and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, who shares her insights on the challenges Black mothers face and the critical role of culturally competent care.

This conversation is a reminder that improving Black maternal health outcomes requires awareness, community, and action.
