SHAMROCK-9/20/2026
We fished through the raindrops on Sunday aboard the Shamrock Charterboat. We picked away at Porgies and Weakfish for the morning. Then at mid-tide the bite exploded into a frenzy with Porgies and Snappers coming up non stop for about an hour. This made braving the weather well worth it. Much thanks to Captain Pat, Joe and Brenden for providing us we some fun fishing in the rain. Ray Croke wins the pool with a 2lb 9oz Weakfish.

We at The Park Star Fishing Club cannot say enough about how awesome a fishing boat the Shamrock is.

Owner Patrick Barrett said the boat welcomes everyone from experienced fishermen to first-time visitors.

As a rainy afternoon turned into a pleasant and very calm evening as the sun emerged from the clouds to show a glorious sunset we picked away at fluke and managed a few keepers. Siri not only wins the pool with a 3lb’er but was also high hook. Thank you Captain Pat and Brenden for providing a wonderful evening on the Sound. We will try it again on July 25.

Busy day catching porgies on the Shamrock Sunday morning into the afternoon. Many quality fish mixed in with numerous throwbacks. A wonderful time was had by all on a glorious day of fishing in the Smithtown Bay. Thanks once again to Captain Pat and mates Joe and Brenden. Ralph wins the pool with a 2lb jumbo.
