As part of our series and to recognize Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to highlight a free and supportive opportunity for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) across New York State.

STEPS2 helps young people build confidence, manage stress, and develop skills for lifelong well‑being, all in a welcoming, online environment.

Participants complete four online surveys and can earn up to $100 in gift cards ($25 per survey)

✨ Who can participate?
You may be eligible if you or someone you know:
- Is 16–27 years old
- Lives in New York State
- Has Autism and/or an intellectual or developmental disability
- Has not previously participated in STEPS2

🖥️ How it works:
Free online Zoom program (1 hour per week for 6 weeks)
Participants are randomly assigned to one of two tracks:
Sexual health and socialization, or Nutrition, exercise, and stress management

This is an opportunity to enter a lottery for Shakespeare in the Park’s sensory adapted performance of Romeo and Juliet will take place on Sunday June 14 at 8pm at The Delacorte Theater.

Sensory adapted performances feature technical adjustments, pre-show materials, sensory supports, and flexible, relaxed expectations for audience members.

La “Iniciativa del Autismo” le invita al grupo de apoyo de Madres y Padres, *En persona* de día y en español!

El proximo miércoles, 10 de junio del 2026 | 10:00 a. m. - 12:00 p. m.

El grupo de apoyo está abierto a padres y cuidadores de una persona con discapacidad de desarrollo, como el autismo, de edades comprendidas entre los 0 y 21 años, que estén viviendo con ustedes en casa, o si su hijo(a) esta asiste a alguna escuela residencial, o si está en un hogar adoptivo.
