AUCTION ENDING OCT 11 (tomorrow) at 7 PM MOUNTAIN. The "Bluebird's 11" need your help getting home (auction link in the comments below). The 11 Galgos, Podencos, and other Spanish dogs you see below, represent 5 Spanish rescues, adopters from 6 US states, and hours of love and dedication. Long before our Bluebird dogs ever step foot on US soil there are adoption applications to process, interviews, home checks, paperwork, flight logistics, and so much more. The journey doesn't stop when they land at LAX. Once we leave the airport we have miles and miles over many days to get them to their homes across the Rocky Mountain West.

Each dog you see below needs the help of many people, and a vast amount of resources, including money, before they get home. Auctions are our biggest fundraiser each year and we spend countless hours to make them fun and meaningful for you. The dogs are beyond worth it. Your support means everything to us; it keeps our doors open and the miles rolling. When you bid often, bid generously, and encourage friends and family to do the same, you ensure that we can keep doing this work. It's too much for any one person to do alone, but together we can go the distance for hounds in need!

Mitsu has a lot to smile about! She is ADOPTED and will be heading to a wonderful home in AZ after she lands in the US on November 4th. Mitsu will have two wonderful brothers, a greyhound and a lurcher, and a fantastic mom who doesn't care if she digs or pees on the grill cover. A big thanks to Galgopod for sponsoring our fall flights so Mitsu and friends can fly. We can't wait to welcome 10 dogs from Spain in just a few months! ADOPTED: Ollie would like you to know that his sweet handsomeness is adopted! He’ll be heading to Utah to join our growing family of Bluebird adopters there. We are already feeling the stoke of our November transport. Tickets have been sponsored and booked by our generous friends at Galgopod. Ollie will fly with 9 other dogs, two of which are still available, senior Podenco matriarch Fernanda, and sweet Galga Mitsu. We can’t wait to share their fall journey with you. Rescue isn't just about dogs. It's also about how the dogs we get to help connect us to people who become adopters, then friends, and finally family. It's about watching new stories unfold, personalities blossoming, and seeing the moments that string together a lifetime of love. Three months ago ten Galgos and Podencos landed in the US from Spain and journeyed on to their new families. Reina, Maya, and Rene went to our wonderful friends at SAGE, yesterday we shared that Anton and Nelli are headed to a fantastic home in Oklahoma, but what about Charly, Duna, Pax (now Osiris), Jade (now Bunny), and Dani (now Cyrus)? We're starting with Princess Duna and will share an update for each of these special dogs from our spring transport over the next few days so you can celebrate their joys and new lives with us!

Duna lives in Nevada and gets to spend time as the ambassador at Max's Pet Supplies, the store her parents own. When she's not receiving adoring customers she's typically enjoying her favorite things, head pets and car ride window sniffs. She also spends time going on adventures, discovering toys, playing with her Podenco brother Klaus, relaxing on her favorite throne (aka the human bed), or just doing diva stuff like demanding fresh water in the only one of three water bowls in the house she'll drink from, because she only likes water in THAT bowl thank you very much and please make a note of it. Duna was relinquished to Protectora y Santuario Scooby by her first family in Spain after several years with them for no reason other than they didn't want her anymore. Their loss. Her mom says, "She is the perfect dog." And even in the early days of her arrival her dad said, "We could totally get six more like her!” We agree on both counts. Enjoy your lifetime of love Duna!

Anton and Nelli have a lot to celebrate! They are ADOPTED and on July 2 they'll make their way from Fort Collins, CO to Quinter, KS where they'll meet their new family. After that they'll have one more leg of transport before they arrive home to Yukon, OK. Thanks to some of our wonderful sighthound loving volunteers and friends we can extend our SABL safety network to cover this part of OK. Anton and Nelli have waited long enough and we are glad we didn't have to turn down the perfect home because of location. Get ready Anton and Nelli, there are so many people willing to go the distance for you, because what's a few thousand miles for a lifetime of love! A big thanks to foster moms and dad Eneri Checa, Wilson, and Wilson, and friends and supporters Rebecca Milman and Lucia Milman for doing a huge chunk of their transport.

AVAILABLE ANTON & NELLI: Your daily dose of our favorite duo. Today they worked on their gardening skills hoping to add something extra to their please-adopt-us-resume. I have advised them that while gardening might be one of their many new skills, they may want to brush up on their marketing savvy... After they did a bit of pruning they decided sunbathing was a much better way to spend their time while patiently waiting for their family to step forward. Anton and Nelli are three years old and wonderful in just about every way, especially as they've had time to acclimate to life in home. Unless you're a cat and then they're really only a value add if you wish to be unalived. We don't want them to have to move foster homes again in July, so we hope you will help us manifest a family for them, either by applying to adopt, or by sharing them with your wonderful dog loving friends. AVAILABLE NELLI & ANTON: These two cutie pies are still patiently awaiting their family from the comfort of their northern Colorado foster home. Not wanting to sit around wasting time Anton and Nelli have been really working to make themselves shine. They are crate trained, house trained, expert snake hunters, enjoy the weekend visit to home depot, make friends with new dogs, adore their foster sister, and are walking nicely on leash. Unfortunately they will need to move to a new foster home the first of July. Wouldn't it be cool if their family saw them and couldn't live without them and they were adopted before that?
