Last year I started a campaign to keep flags on veterans graves year round. It’s been tough keeping up on this commitment. I like putting flags out twice a year, once on Memorial Day and on Veterans Day. I am looking to build a coalition to get this done. If you are already involved in the cemetery flags or if you would like to help. Please message me so we can make a coordinated effort and not overlap our efforts. Thanks to everyone in the valley who helps with this.

Need more flags for the area cemeteries. If anyone has any or if you could make a donation to the post so we could purchase more it would be greatly appreciated. I have enough to finish thatcher cemetery but I don’t think anyone has replaced the flags at Pima and some of the other remote cemetery’s including graham county cemetery. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just a reminder. This Saturday the VFW will be closed to the public. No Coffee and Donuts and no bingo. We are hosting a private event. This event has been scheduled for 2 years. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Red Cross blood drive today at the post 10-4. 20 dollar Amazon gift card for giving blood.

We finished our cleanup and placing of flags today at the Safford cemetery. I think we got all the flags and did what we could with the trash. We ran out of flags about halfway through so a big thank you to the American Legion for donating the flags to finish up. We had some flags left so we will schedule another day to work on the rest of the cemetery’s around town. Thank you everyone who showed up to help. It was a great success.
