Help Us Bring Our New Home to Life. Heart of Refuge has outgrown borrowed space and short-term solutions — so we took a leap of faith and purchased a permanent building in Texas City to serve our community for years to come. 🕊️

There’s just one problem: the building isn’t move-in ready. We need to raise $25,000 to complete the renovation before we can open our doors and put this space to work helping neighbors in need with food, clothing, hygiene essentials, and practical support. God isn't looking for a performance. He’s looking for you.
🕊️In John 4:23-24 (KJV), Jesus changes everything about how we approach God: "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."Too often, we get caught up in the "form" of religion.
We focus on the perfect routine, using the right vocabulary, or making sure we look like we have it all together.But God doesn't want an empty ritual.
He wants our raw, honest spirit. He wants the truth of where we are right now—flaws, doubts, hurts, and all. One “form” I’ll strip back to reality this week: __________(Ideas to fill the blank: The "perfect Christian" act / Keeping up appearances / Relying on routine instead of relationship / Hiding my struggles)When we drop the performance and show up in pure truth, we finally experience true connection. That is where real refuge is found.
