Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by standing united in the spirit of service, love, and community.

In 2026, we continue to live out our timeless motto, “Service to All Mankind,” by showing up with purpose and pouring into the communities we cherish.
Today reminds us that every act of service, big or small, moves us closer to the world Dr. King envisioned.

Let’s carry his dream forward together, because “We Are One” in making a lasting impact.

Members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Beta Phi Omega Chapter had a wonderful time of fellowship and worship with the National Pan-Hellenic Galveston Council of Greeks at Mount Paran Missionary Baptist Church in Texas City.

Heartfelt thanks to Reverend Edward P. Grogan III, First Lady Kreshaun Grogan, and the Mount Paran church family for their warm welcome and spirit of love. We were reminded that no one truly knows the pressure or challenges we carry. God allows us to go through trials for His glory and our good, and when we release control and trust His will, He will lead us through. Pan-Hellenic Council

Remembering Our 2025 Ivies Beyond the Wall

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Beta Phi Omega Chapter pauses with grateful hearts to honor and remember two extraordinary members whose lives and legacies continue to shape our sisterhood.

We celebrate the life and service of Rosalie Tottenham, initiated through Alpha Tau in 1949. A Diamond member with 76 years of devoted membership, she embodied grace, commitment, and unwavering love for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. Mrs. Tottenham took great pride in her family legacy, which includes her legacy granddaughter, her sister who is also a Diamond member, as well as nieces and other loved ones who carry forward the values she so beautifully modeled. Her life stands as a testament to faithfulness, longevity, and generational impact.

We also honor Angela E. Green St. Julien, initiated through Beta Phi Omega in 1982. A Silver member with 43 years of dedicated service, she gave selflessly to this sisterhood and our community, just seven years shy of achieving the Golden milestone. She is the beloved mother of our current chapter president, Crystal DeLaney, and leaves behind a powerful legacy of leadership, love, and service, including several family members who are also members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.

Though they have transitioned beyond the wall, their light, labor, and love remain forever woven into the fabric of our chapter. We honor their memory, cherish their contributions, and commit to carrying their legacy forward with dignity and purpose.

Rest in peace, cherished members. You are remembered. You are loved. You are eternal.
