The primary purpose of the Mandingo Association of Dallas - Forth Worth is to create positive interactions between our community through cultural outreach.

The Mandingo, also known as Malinke, Mandinka, Maninka or Manding are a West African tribe spread across parts of Mali, Senegal, Mauritania, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Chad, and Niger. They are descendants of the great Mali Empire that flourished in West Africa from the 13th through the 16th centuries.
