𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲

The true value of impact is seen when those who have been helped return to help others. Nothing is more inspiring than seeing beneficiaries become contributors and role models for the next generation.

In that spirit, Stephen Ayeni, one of the pioneer beneficiaries of BabsFoundation in 2018 and a committed member of the Foundation since then, returned to give back to the community that once invested in his growth.

On Saturday, 13th June 2026, Stephen and his team led a school outreach programme for over 50 students drawn from six public secondary schools across Ondo State.

As part of the outreach, copies of 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒔𝒆𝒕: 𝑨 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑮𝒖𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝑩𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝑻𝒐𝒑 𝑺𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕, his first book, were donated to the libraries of the participating schools. The students were also taught practical principles of excellence, effective learning, discipline, leadership, and personal growth.

The book shows that excellence is not reserved for a gifted few. Rather, it is built intentionally through the right mindset, habits, systems, and daily choices. It equips students with practical strategies for academic success while helping them develop character and purpose.

Beyond academics, the students were encouraged to embrace unity, collaboration, patriotism, and nation-building.
They were reminded that Nigeria's future depends on young people who are not only brilliant but also disciplined, responsible, and committed to making a positive impact.

The message carried special significance coming from Stephen, who graduated in 2025 as the Best Graduating Student in the Department of Biochemistry and the Best Graduating Student in the School of Life Sciences, Federal University of Technology Akure.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 🤝

A scholarship can open the door to education. But financial support alone is not enough, it takes a strong community to help students grow into confident leaders and changemakers.

Over the past few weeks, more than 60 BabsFoundation University Scholars across Federal University of Technology Akure, FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OYE-EKITI, Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, and Adeyemi Federal University of Education came together through a series of hangouts, networking sessions, and reconnect programs.

These gatherings were more than social events. They were opportunities for scholars to share experiences, navigate academic challenges together, learn from one another, build meaningful relationships, and explore leadership and entrepreneurial opportunities.

The impact was evident:

🚀 Stronger Support Systems – Scholars built deeper connections and peer networks across campuses.

📈 Leadership & Growth – Scholars gained confidence, shared valuable lessons, and discovered new opportunities for collaboration and personal development.

🌱 A Sense of Belonging – Students were reminded that they are part of a community that believes in them, supports them, and is invested in their success.

A few days ago, BabsFoundation scholars at the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻 came together for a relaxed and engaging hangout designed to strengthen community and peer connection.

Scholars such as 𝘈𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘣𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘢 𝘖𝘭𝘶𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯 (400𝘓, 𝘔𝘪𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘪𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺), 𝘜𝘣𝘦𝘩 𝘎𝘰𝘥𝘸𝘪𝘯 (300𝘓, 𝘕𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦) and 𝘈𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘨𝘣𝘦 𝘛𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘸𝘢 (100𝘓, 𝘌𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘤𝘴) were part of this enriching experience, representing the diversity and excellence within the BabsFoundation community.

The gathering provided an opportunity for students to step away from academic demands, connect with one another, and build meaningful relationships in a supportive environment. Moments like these play an important role in fostering confidence, collaboration, and a strong sense of belonging among scholars.
