If you own a Ford Escape 2017-2019 this is a must-read it will not let me upload but go to ford.com customer satisfaction and put your VIN number in they owe you a new engine.
THIS IS A COVER-UP AS THEY ARE NOT A RECALL SINCE THERE HAS BEEN NO ONE HURT

I bought a 2018 Ford Escape SEL on July 4, 2023, well several months back I noticed that I had to keep adding more coolant and oil. Since the car is always parked inside, you would think you could see something on the floor. Well, I never saw anything.
So, on August 8, 2024, I took it to my mechanic who on August 13, 2024, said that I needed a new engine do the following engine codes P0300, P0301-P0304, P0316, P0217, P1285, and/or P1299. After a few moments of silence, my mechanic said “But I might have something that can help you with the repair. I honestly thought well guess he has a payment plan I was sure hoping as I did not have the $5,676.09 and nowhere to get it from plus paying the car notes.
That is when he told me at the customer satisfaction program the only issue was it is either 7 years our younger on the car or less the 84,000. My car is 6 years old but has 98537 miles. I thought why not call them and talk to them anyway.
Talked with a rep on my 1st call and could tell she was reading the script from start to finish. I asked her why I had not received a letter or even a notice on the Ford Pass App. She told me they sent one round of letters and nothing else and will not send anything else unless it becomes a recall. Well, a recall happens when someone is in danger of being hurt or killed by the product. So, I asked for a supervisor and was told one would call me back within twenty-four business hours.
Two days had passed so I called them back and was about to speak to someone who stated they were a supervisor and went through the whole script once again but at the end was told because of the miles on my car I did not qualify, and they are not going to fix my car. I told her Well I did not receive a notice of the defect, and she stated they sent it to I believe she said Avis’s car rental but could be another company. I asked her why when someone buys the car and registers the car on the Ford Pass App I was not notified. I was told very rudely that they sent it to the owners at the time and no one else.
So now I have a car sitting at the mechanics that I have a car note and insurance to pay plus pay for a repair that Ford Motor Company is liable for. I need some help with this company as this should have been made very public and they should be honoring all owners.

I am working on a speech and this is some of my research and start to my speech

So I have a tremendous interest in our environment, with my primary attention focused on oceans, bays, and gulfs. Since I have moved back to the gulf coast, I have noticed that a problem worldwide is also happening in our backyards. But did you know that when you eat seafood, you are also consuming microplastics?

So with data from various sources, the information that I have researched, I have found that in the Gulf of Mexico (598,458 square miles), it would be close to 27.5 billion pieces of plastic. To break it down even further in Galveston Bay, it is (617.76 square miles), so we are looking at around 28.417 million pieces of plastic. More than 100,000 marine animals die each year from plastic pollution. One hundred percent of sea turtles now have plastic in their stomachs.
Now two of my favorites to consume are shrimp and crabs that we are lucky to catch for some of us in our back yards, other just a short trip to the shore. A study found that most prawns contain 0.07mg of plastic and 0.30mg in carbs.
On average, today, people living in North America use 220 pounds of plastic a year. Americans alone use 100 billion plastic bags a year, a bag day per person. Over 500 million straws on average a year, that is 1.6 straws a day.

So I have just given some examples of plastics in our local bays and gulfs and some of the statistics that an average person uses annually and daily.
Almost all stores offer reusable bags. Some are even biodegradable, and they are very inexpensive, from what I have found. Also, reusable straws are on the market; my favorite is the ones made from bamboo; hence it is natural that makes it biodegradable.
So we MUST reduce our use of single-use plastic, we can help each other and help future generations enjoy what mother nature gave us, and we currently take it for granted. Together we can make a difference and reverse what could become irreversible.
