One of the questions we hear most often is, “What do you need right now?”

The needs in our Blessing Boutique change frequently as children and families come through our doors, so we’ve just updated our list.

Donations help us provide children entering foster care and families in crisis with essentials they need right away. Every item donated makes a difference and helps ensure a child feels cared for and supported during a difficult time.

The countdown is on! We are officially less than 3 weeks away from the Run the Runway 5K and we can’t wait to see everyone out on the runway!

If you’re planning to join us, now is the time to register. Participants who register by June 16 are guaranteed a race t-shirt in their preferred size. After that date, shirts and sizes will be available while supplies last.

This year, we’re doing things a little differently so we can better serve the children and families we support.

Because school supply lists are being released much later in the summer, 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲-𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞! Our clients will be invited later in July to come “shop” for the supplies their children specifically need for the upcoming school year.

This month, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and dedication of families working toward reunification.

Family reunification is the primary goal in many child welfare cases when it is safe and appropriate, and it represents the hard work of parents, children, caseworkers, foster families, service providers, and entire support systems coming together to create safe, stable homes for children.

At For the Sake of One, we believe God intended families to be whole — not broken. We are honored to support families on their reunification journeys through services such as supervised visitation and family support programs. Every step forward, big or small, is worth celebrating. 💟

One of the sweetest parts of our 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 is getting to make kids feel loved, welcomed, and special the moment they walk through our doors. 💛

This month for 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡, our team put together fun snack bags for every child who visits our center. The bags were filled with snacks, Capri Suns, a pocket Jesus, and a reminder that they are loved. These small bags brought 𝐁𝐈𝐆 smiles to the kids this month!

We loved seeing how much the kids enjoyed them, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to create moments of joy for the families we serve. 🥹

Thank you so much Heritage Church for serving us today during National Foster Care Month!

As I saw the notifications go off on our ring camera, my eyes teared up with gratitude. Because we spend our time and money serving children and families in our community, our physical office is often neglected. They transformed our office from shabby to beautiful and I am so thankful! The flowers are so happy and there are no longer leaves everywhere!

I absolutely LOVE that they come to us every year and ask us what they can do to help. That way, we are able to share with them our deepest needs and it truly makes a difference!

Everyone can do something to help the foster care community and Heritage made a difference today by cleaning up, packing food bags, and building toddler beds! THANK YOU!!

One of our favorite traditions each year in May for Foster Care Appreciation Month is hosting a Memorial Day cookout for our foster, kinship, and adoptive families. ❤️🇺🇸

Today we went shopping for all the food, drinks, and supplies for Monday’s cookout, and we were overwhelmed with gratitude seeing multiple carts filled because of the generosity of our donors.

Because of so many of you, we are able to create special moments for the families we serve — moments where families can relax, connect, laugh, and simply enjoy being together.

Thank you for helping us love and support these incredible families in our community! 🥹

Community support matters! 🤍 We loved our time visiting today with Realty Fanatics Group.

Today, our Realty Fanatics Group team had the privilege of visiting **For the Sake of One**, and we left inspired by the incredible work they are doing to serve children and families across our region.

Their mission is to share God’s love with local children and families before, during, and after foster care by walking alongside them on their healing journey.

What they do is truly remarkable.

For the Sake of One supports children, biological families, foster families, and caseworkers in Bowie, Miller, Cass, and Little River Counties through a wide range of programs and services, including:

💙 Supporting foster families
💙 Hosting supervised visitations
💙 Providing trauma-informed training and education
💙 Offering a Blessing Boutique filled with essential items
💙 Helping with personal needs, school supplies, and Christmas gifts
💙 Encouraging caseworkers with monthly gifts and support
💙 Walking alongside families with practical resources and hope
💙 And so much more

During our visit, our team also had the opportunity to assemble small gifts for local caseworkers who serve on the front lines every day advocating for children and families in our community.

As their reach continues to grow, so do the needs.

Their most urgent needs right now include:

🍼 Diapers in sizes 5 and 6
👶 Pull-Ups in all sizes
👟 Kids shoes (especially toddler size 7 through teen sizes)
🧦 New socks and underwear in all sizes
👕 Boys summer clothing in sizes 12–16/18
👗 Girls summer clothing in sizes 10–16/18

Through our **Your Closing, Your Cause** initiative, every closing allows us to give back to organizations like For the Sake of One that are making a real and lasting impact in the communities we serve.
