We bought new signs for First Lutheran Church's Easter Egg Hunt. 200-250 people visited our Church. Pastor Darren talked to many neighborhood friends who are coming to our Church's events regularly. Two families are already planning to attend our VBS. ONe family is beginning to make their Church home at First Lutheran Church, Texarkana, Texas. Two family are working together to give a mother and her two daughters a ride to Sunday School and Church. I think we can have more people community people attend church if we have more people to provide rides. We are working on it and the work is going well!! God be praised!!

New Place Same Servant Events

Life has been a little crazy for us the past several months, but we have followed where the Holy Spirit has led. As Always, the Holy Spirit has led us to a place he prepared for us ahead of time.
We are continuing our mission work as a called pastor at First Lutheran Church in Texarkana, Texas, three blocks from the Arkansas state line. It is beautiful country here and is almost like being on the west coast.
We have already started our work in the community. We were only here three weeks and we had a Sunday School Rally Day with a grill outside and a huge bounce house for the kids. Two non-member families came to the celebration.
We are planning out outreach celebrations such as a Halloween/All Saints Day, Christmas Party and Easter Egg Hunt. One member is already writing grants for a playground that will be shared with the community youth. She is aware of many families that are low income in the community surrounding the church and wants to invite them to our church.
God is good; God is great, all of the time! He is amazing! We are happy to be serving our God as we serve and love the people like he loves us.
We are still fundraising so we can get the events, activities and programs started here in Texarkana. Our next outreach event is October 26, 2013. We will be inviting the community to First Lutheran Church. Please pray for us as we continue to work for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are carrying out his mission Matthew 28: 19.
