Good morning Friends of Red Springs! 😊

My husband Robert and I wanted to personally let you know that after 9 years of volunteering in Red Springs Cemetery, we will no longer be responsible for the mowing. We will continue our involvement in several other areas because of the love we have for Red Springs. We ask that you please continue to support our cemetery with your donations by sending them to the overseer, payable to

If there is anyone interested in being more involved with the cemetery, please let us know. And remember also, there are still many lots available.

We sincerely thank you for the love and support you've shown us over the many years.

🙏🏿❤️ Robert and Joyce

We were able to get the cemetery cleaned up on Saturday, just in time for the holiday. Our flags are out honoring those who served our country.
Happy Veteran's Day to all! Thank you for your service. Remembering those who served.

About a year ago Tavian Morgan and I found these vandalized headstons at Red Springs cemetery. Today, along with Joyce and his niece, we set up this
memorial near where they were found.
It is simple yet a dignified tribute to those who came before us.

The winter storms meant a lot of downed branches at Red Springs. Joyce is with our 2nd load and I am with the last of 4 large loads. Two full days of work were required to gather, load, and haul everything to the dump site on S. Stateline. We were blessed to have a break in the weather to accomplish this task and be better prepared to face the spring growing season.

We mowed and put out flags for our veterans to celebrate the upcoming holiday and guess what we found upon entering Red SpringsCemetery? There is now a good, solid gravel road! Hopefully it will be extended to include the entire loop at the back but, for now, we are ecstatic!!!

Good morning 😊
As we had hoped, we were able to finish the cemetery today. Because I wanted a lighter weedeater that I could handle, my sweet husband Robert used his birthday money and some he had saved to buy one for me and 2 extra batteries. So because of that, I was able to work around almost every headstone in the cemetery. I still have a few left to do but pleased to get as many as I did while he mowed. Thank you sweetie, you are absolutely the best! ❤️
We will leave the flags out until after the 4th of July. Many of them are old and snapped during the last storms. We will replace them hopefully before Veterans Day. Until next post....🙏🏿

Good afternoon Red Springs Family! 🤗
A brief update on what's going on in the cemetery. Robert went over to mow yesterday (June 24th) and was able to mow the left side of (as you're entering) the cemetery. We went back this morning (June 25th) to complete the job but had problems with a mower belt. It's on order, hopefully by Thursday. Our goal is to return by Saturday.
Also, if you've been there lately, you should have seen the large tree that fell during the last storm. It was too much for us to handle so Michael Shepherd has taken care of that. 🙌🏾 There is still some brush there but I'm sure it will be taken care of in time. Thanks to all who have continued to support the Cemetery Association. We appreciate your help!
Blessings ❤️ Robert & Joyce

Update:
We had a problem with our mower belt on Friday so we weren't able to finish mowing. We took the time to clean up the wood and tree branches in the pictures, we had gathered. We'll get back as soon as we can to finish what we started. Thanks to all who donate to the cause and offer thanks!
You are very much appreciated! ❤️

Hello Friends!
Robert and I made it to the cemetery today, for the 2nd time this season. Today was mainly to pick up falled branches and some wood leftover from another fallen tree. We were able to mow a little but will get back as soon as we can, weather permitting, hopefully some time next week. The branches/wood we have to haul away is stacked along to drive. Just wanted you to know what's going on.
