Franc Roads (Elliott), one of our seven Founders, was born on this day in 1852. Franc was a talented artist who passionately worked for the women's suffrage movement and had a firm belief in the value of education. Her daughter, Stella, described her as "a dynamic person, always on the search for learning, a woman of indomitable will, with courage and ability to get from life the worthwhile things that appealed to her." We're so grateful for her contributions to the P.E.O. Sisterhood!

Did you know, in 1870, just one year after P.E.O.'s founding, only about 11,000 women attended college in the entire United States? That's less than half a percent of college-age women. Today, P.E.O. is proud to help so many women through our mission to motivate, educate and celebrate women! Since our founding, we have helped more than 129,000 women pursue educational goals!

Your $50 Tea for Tuition ticket purchase goes directly to fund women’s education. Get yours today!

We had a wonderful meeting today with an interesting and delicious Founder's Day program presented by special guest, Mary Blinderman from chapter BJ in Tyler. Mary is ChV president Robin Townsend's mother! Photos by our lovely chaplain Michelle Walraven! Peggy Benson hosted us in her elegant comfortable home.

Also we were honored to present past president Melissa Willard Delk with a gavel guard in gratitude for her years of leadership.

Oh my gosh...what an event.
The beautiful Cabe Hall at Trahc was bursting with beautiful tables loaded with flowers, china and silver, ready to receive delicious dainties and tea and all these absolutely beautiful women.
We were pampered by the impeccably mannered Student Ambassadors of the University of Arkansas -Cossatott.
This is our Chapter V's big fundraiser. It is a labor of love and we are always so excited for our friends to come to tea!

These are just a few of the photos...I'll be working on adding more, if you can add yours please do!
