Last night we came together as an extended soccer family to celebrate and recognize our 7th/8th grade players and coaches at an end of year TYSL banquet. It was pretty amazing to see so many families, teams and players together in one room. The mood was upbeat, positive and inspirational. Coaches - thank you for sharing such wonderful words about your teams and players and for everything you do week to week to show what teamwork looks like, fostering good team and soccer skills and more importantly teaching so many life lessons these kids will take with them far past the green of the soccer pitch.

As we wrap up the spring season this Friday and Saturday, we’d love your help clearing out our remaining concession inventory and supporting the league at the same time!

Be sure to stop by the concession stand for your favorite snacks, drinks, and Italian ice before they’re gone. We also have TYSL apparel available, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, and more, so you can show your TYSL pride all summer long.

Every purchase directly benefits the Tewksbury Youth Soccer League and helps us prepare for a successful fall season for our players and families.

Tewksbury Youth Soccer is excited to announce a partnership with GotSneakers, a social enterprise. TYSL will earn funds based on the total quantity of sneakers collected. This unique program allows our community to support our organization while keeping sneakers out of landfills. You can learn more about their mission at www.gotsneakers.com.

We will be available to collect your gently worn, used, and new athletic sneakers during U8 Jamboree on June 7th from 9:00am-12:00pm. We can make additional arrangements if you are not available that day.  Please see flyer for more information.

Hello TYSL Families,

Tewksbury Youth Soccer is currently looking for a volunteer to step into the role of Concessions Director to help support operations at the snack shack during the season, primarily on Fridays and Saturdays.

This role would work alongside current Concessions Director, Donnie Martell, and would be a great opportunity for someone interested in learning the position with the possibility of eventually stepping into the Concessions Director role in the future.

Responsibilities would include:

Assisting with scheduling volunteers to work the snack shack

Helping work the shack during busy times

Assisting with restocking inventory

Brainstorming new ideas and improvements

Helping with other miscellaneous concessions-related tasks as needed

Our concessions team plays a major role in fundraising for the league each season, so having a strong team in place is extremely important to the continued success of TYSL.

TYSL was honored to walk in the Memorial Day parade this past weekend. Here are some shots from the fun morning!

TYSL is excited to announce we will be marching in the Tewksbury Memorial Day Parade. If your player is interested in marching come to city hall 15 minutes prior to the start.

• Time to meet: 10:45am

• Place to meet: Tewksbury Town Hall

• Parade Start time: 11 am (Ending by 1 pm)

• Players to wear RED TYSL uniform

• Ages: Grades 1st - 10th

• Parade Route: Starts at Town Hall and travels up Main Street ending at Livingston Street

• End of Parade meeting place: Near the parking lot of John Ryan's Pub

TYSL will require a minimum of 5 parent/chaperones to march with the players during the parade. The parent/chaperone can be a coach, parent/guardian to assist and guide players during the parade route

 

Rich Maggio will be heading this up and leading the March.

Out of an abundance of caution, we are POSTPONING our evaluations for Grades 7/8 that were scheduled for this evening.

In addition, Frasca soccer complex is also closed today due to high temperatures. 

The new schedule is as follows:

Friday, May 29th:  Grades 7 & 8 (U14)

Boys 7/8 Check-ins:  4:45

Boys B78 Evals:  5:00-6:15

Girls G 7/8 Check-ins:  6:15

Girls G78 Evals:  6:30-7:45

**We will be on the upper fields**

Please note, you do not need to re-register for tryouts on the 29th if you are already registered for evaluations
