Today, we celebrate and thank Augusta Friendsmith, as she concludes her service on the Womentum Board of Directors after two transformative, laughter-filled terms.

To know Gus is to know energy, enthusiasm, and wholehearted commitment. As one fellow board member beautifully shared, “Gus is pure life force. From her eclectic wardrobe to her amazing hair, she radiates joy. The lives she touches through her volunteer work will have a lasting impact. We will miss that beautiful ball of fire.”

Gus brought that same spirit to every board meeting, event, volunteer project, and conversation. She embodies how leadership can be both deeply impactful and deeply fun.

Thank you, Gus, for your generosity, creativity, laughter, and unwavering belief in the power of community. Your fingerprints are all over Womentum’s story, and your impact will continue to be felt for years to come.

Hosted by Teton County Health Department, join us, as we have a REAL conversation about how in a mountain town like Jackson, there can be an intense, often unspoken pressure to look “like an athlete,” creating a toxic standard for those who spend time outside.

Next Thursday, June 18 from 6 - 7:30pm at the Black Diamond store.

It’s free, but please RSVP (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/taking-up-space-a-conversation-on-body-image-food-movement-tickets-1989833975987?aff=oddtdtcreator&keep_tld=true).

Last year, the month of May was nicknamed Mocktail May through a fantastic initiative started by the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole to encourage inclusive parties where people can celebrate sans alcohol.

A few weeks ago, for a third time Womentum’s Board member Kris Shean, championed this movement, by serving a one-of-a-kind, alcohol-free spritz. The floating scoops of Häagen-Dazs blueberry and lemon sorbet(!) accompanied by a strawberry decorated punchbowl made our gathering especially fun. 🍹

Kris, who is the owner of Häagen-Dazs, also serves on the Teton Behavioral Health Alliance. Thank you, Kris, for all you do for Womentum and for our community!

✨ Alumnae Spotlight: Taryn Weil, Founder, True Nature Collective ✨

Since her time as a mentee in 2020, Taryn has stepped into her work as a Doctor of Occupational Therapy and the founder of True Nature Collective—guiding women back to themselves through a blend of clinical insight, coaching, and lived experience.

Through both one-on-one work and intimate group containers, she supports women in reconnecting with their intuition, gaining clarity, and creating lives that feel aligned—not just good on paper. Her work draws from occupational therapy, trauma-informed practice, and deep respect for the relationship between a person, their environment, and the way they choose to live.

She has expanded this work beyond traditional spaces, leading immersive retreats and experiences—from women’s wilderness backpacking expeditions in the Wind River Range to embodiment retreats in Costa Rica—where nature becomes the catalyst for clarity, self-trust, and meaningful change.

Taryn’s path reflects what’s possible when women choose to listen inward, take brave steps, and build lives rooted in intention. Her work continues to ripple through the women and communities she supports—creating spaces where growth feels grounded, connected, and real.

Attention Womentoring Alumnae! We are about to announce a robust slate of Alumnae Gatherings in our upcoming eNewsletter! ✨

With rave reviews and waitlists, they are more than a meal. Together we create intentional spaces to feel the power of connection. We share stories, ask introspective questions, listen deeply, and expand your sense of possibility.

While every gathering is different, a common thread is the exploration of an intentional prompt. We’ve asked, “What kind of support has helped you strive for something you once felt was out of reach?” And, “what support have you offered others who are striving for a goal?”

We’d love to know what prompts inspire you! Please share and we may use it this summer! Stay tuned for more moments where women come together to connect, learn, and thrive.

✨ Alumnae Spotlight: Tracie Wall, Founder, Grounded Marketing Studio ✨

Through Womentoring in the 2025 cohort, Tracie found what so many women are searching for:
“A room full of women who get it, changes everything. It’s momentum, accountability, a reminder to think bigger—and rest when you need it. It’s an experience I wouldn’t change for the world.”

The founder of Grounded Marketing Studio, if you ask Tracie what she does, she’ll say “marketing.” But really, she builds brands that move. With 15+ years of experience across luxury, nonprofits, and real estate, she blends strategy and storytelling to create work that’s not just beautiful—but effective.
She’s known for pushing boundaries, challenging norms, and making luxury feel a little less safe and a lot more interesting.

Her philosophy? Consistency > virality. Every time.

With more than 500 Womentum alumnae in our community, the ripple effect of leadership, courage, and connection continues to grow. Each month, we’ll highlight a remarkable woman who is living our mission to inspire and connect women to thrive as leaders.

Message us to suggest who our next Alumnae Spotlight should feature! 💫

“Thanks to Womentum I have a safe space to open up with my mentor. I depend on her.” - Mentee, current cohort. 🥹

Now is your chance! Applications were just released for 2026 - 2027 Womentoring, the Teton Area’s premier women’s mentoring program, that builds confidence, skills, and connection. Over 9 months of intentional programming (mid-September to mid-May), mentors and mentees grow personally and professionally. Soon to be in its 21st year, there are some incredibly beautiful and immensely impactful stories from our 550 alumnae.

The application deadline is June 1.

And something we all need to hear: has someone said you’re “mentor material”? Listen, because you probably are! Mentorship is a lot like friendship — listening, supporting, and showing up‼️

If you plan to apply, we encourage you to step outside of your potentially self-critical mind and see yourself the way others see you. Also, mentors so often gain just as much as they give. Onward!

Applications for Womentoring, Teton Area’s premier women’s mentoring program, open on May 1 and close June 1! Over nine months of intentional conversations, workshops, and dinners, mentors and mentees build powerful, lasting connections that foster thriving, both personally and professionally. 💫

Womentoring is Womentum’s flagship program—now more than 500 alumnae strong. Beyond the program, Womentum creates opportunities for connection and growth for the broader community through public workshops, panels, Action Philanthropy days, and more. Stay tuned—there’s always something inspiring ahead.

Womentoring program expectations: Given the depth of commitment and extensive interest in Womentoring, we prioritize applicants who have engaged with Womentum by attending at least one event. Doing so helps ensure mutual alignment and sets the foundation for a successful nine-month experience. We also ask that mentors and mentees commit a minimum of five hours each month to the program, ensuring the time and consistency needed to build authentic, meaningful relationships.

Womentoring is offered at $500 for the full 9-month program—a 75% reduced rate—because Womentum is committed to making this experience accessible and inclusive. Monthly payment plans and scholarships are offered. Many participants’ employers cover the cost, recognizing it as a valuable investment in professional and personal growth. If you’re interested, please apply!
