August Events

Here is a list of events happening during the month of August in the Kansas CVMA® 21-5 Chapters Area. Let me know if you would like to attend any of these.

The wife and I will be attending the Bike Night 08/21 and the Ride for Camaraderie on 08/22 in Dodge City. We will be staying the night on the 21st.

Wife and I will also be in Sturgis from the 11th to the 16th, I have added the Flyers for events we will be attending during our trip. We will be attending the CVMA® 30-1 2026 Meet and Greet on the 12th.

Aug 7th - Region VI Rally Meet and Greet, Springfield Missouri. Time: 1700-?

Aug 8th - Region VI Rally 2026. Springfield Missouri. Time: 1300

Aug 15th - Fallen Brothers Run, Hays KS. GoodTimes Motorcycle. Time: 1000

Aug 21st - Bike Night, Dodge City KS. Howard Gotschall VFW Post 1714.

Time: 1930-?

Aug 22nd - Ride for Camaraderie, Dodge City KS. Howard Gotschall VFW Post 1714.

Aug 22nd - 3rd Annual Dee Von Bauer Memorial Ride, Ness City KS. American Legion Post 392. Time: 0900

For those heading to Sturgis this year, here is a little information about HWY 385 between Pactola Reservoir and Sheridan Lake

Due to extreme heat, the oil blotter on U.S. Highway 385 between Pactola Lake and Sheridan Lake is softening.

The road will remain open. Sand will be placed on the surface to prevent oil from sticking to tires.

Motorcycles should use extreme caution.

It is with a heavy heart that we are informing everyone that we have lost one of our members. FM - 34403 Cody “Pop-Off” Morrison passed away today. Please remember the good times you spent with him. Just know that he is up where the Harley’s never break down, the fuel automatically fills itself up and the weather is always 75° and sunny. He truly will be missed. Please keep his parents Herb (Marine Vet) and Phyllis in your thoughts and prayers.
