What’s better than curling up with a great book while enjoying “Cookies and Cocoa?” Helping kids do that! We are thrilled that Wethersfield High School students Jena and Elli selected the Myra Boccardi Desroches Advancing Young Minds Fund as the recipient of their National Honors Society independent service project.

The future elementary education and political science majors will host a bake sale Sunday, March 29 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Laura’s Garden (Cove Park) in Old Wethersfield. Fellow entrepreneurial high school students will join them as vendors at the event featuring a book trade, fun tattoos, lawn games and more. Proceeds will advance Myra’s passion for supporting children’s learning experiences.
