New Orleans Sk8 Fest 2017 is now in the books. First I would like to thank God for blessing this entire event with his grace and mercy, beautiful weather, no incidents, sk8ers from around the country, and local friends and family coming to our city and just a wonderful weekend. Our DJ's (Jason Robinson, D J Joe Bowen, D J Brian, Robert (Big Bob) Clayton, Courtney Rebirth Rollerz Saylor, DJ Silva) special shout out to Tylonal for getting the picnic lit. I would be remiss if I don't give thanks to my beautiful wife for standing by my side through this transition year. Our team is a awesome team of selfless people who just love to skate, and provide all skaters the opportunity to share our city with each of you. Special thanks to the Krewe that worked behind the science to get it all done - Deidra & Steve Jones, Ava Price, Chris Price, Nola Rollas, Steven W. Green III, Carol Amin, Rodolfo Mann, Gloria Randall, Portia Williams, Anika Vincent, Steven Harrell, Sk8 Addiction, Skate Country Westbank, and all our skate crews that showed luv. French Quarter Festival annually features authentic local cuisine from the area’s finest restaurants, including festival favorites such as crawfish and goat cheese crepes, cochon de lait po-boys, crawfish bisque, Oysters Bonne Femme, hot boiled crawfish, grilled chicken livers with pepper jelly, sweet potato pie, bourbon bbq shrimp, prime debris po-boys, Abita beer, snowballs, and more. Well I finally got some sleep and can thank everyone who supported our 5th Annual New Orleans Sk8 Fest "Let The Good Times Roll". First I thank God for blessing us with a safe, sunny and drama free event. Second the members, supports and volunteers of the New Orleans Sk8r's Association, job well done.
