The gifts are collected and the Christmas dinner food boxes are overflowing. We are ready to bless those who accept our gifts and will deliver tomorrow, Thursday December 18th from 10 to 1. If you are able to pick up your grocery dinner boxes, please leave a message here through the send button or contact Jody. We have a lot to get delivered this year.
Prairie County residents were very generous this year and we will be providing each family some ground beef and pantry staples in addition to our dinner boxes. God bless those who gave, those who deliver and those who receive!!!
The churches in Fallon and Terry invite you to worship with them during this Christmas season.
Merry Christmas everyone!!

The names are collected for Linda's Giving Tree and the Grocèry boxes need filled. We are seeking "Givers" now. Our 2025 campaign will begin tomorrow in the Fallon and Terry community churches. There will be grocery box cards at Prairie Abstract and Title on Monday also. If you can't do those, an opportunity to give mittens for the Bolin school or a meat and cheese tray is also available. Since Thanksgiving is so late this year, we are starting our campaign this Sunday to ensure everyone has time.

The PCCP has met and we are currently looking for "Recipients" for the Christmas dinner food boxes and Meat & Cheese trays. We are also collecting names of children for Linda's Giving Tree. Please reach out to me privately if you are in need or know someone who may be in need so I may contact them.
Our campaign is set to begin November 23rd when we will be seeking "Givers".
As always cash donations can be left with our treasurer, Sharla Sackman at the County Extensuon office.
We are excited to share the blessings!!!

We are collecting names of Prairie County residents that need a little extra this Christmas season. Would you or do you know of someone that would like a Christmas dinner grocery box? How about a meat and cheese tray for someone who has had a tough season in life? And we also need children's names to add to Linda's Giving Tree. All names and suggestions are kept confidential. Help us bless someone this Christmas season. Names are due before Thanksgiving. December will be here before we know it!!! Message us through this post.

I found this very helpful....

If you are planning on helping families at a food bank this season, things you probably don’t know.
1. Everyone donates Kraft Mac and Cheese in the box. They can rarely use it because it needs milk and butter which is hard to get from regular food banks.
2. Boxed milk is a treasure, as kids need it for cereal which they also get a lot of.
3. Everyone donates pasta sauce and spaghetti noodles.
4. They cannot eat all the awesome canned veggies and soup unless you put a can opener in too or buy pop tops.
5. Oil is a luxury but needed for Rice a-Roni which they also get a lot of.
6. Spices or salt and pepper would be a real Christmas gift.
7. Tea bags and coffee make them feel like you care.
8. Sugar and flour are treats.
9. They fawn over fresh produce donated by farmers and grocery stores.
10. Seeds are cool in Spring and Summer because growing can be easy for some.
11. They rarely get fresh meat.
12. Tuna and crackers make a good lunch.
13. Hamburger Helper goes nowhere without ground beef.
14. They get lots of peanut butter and jelly but usually not sandwich bread.
15. Butter or margarine is nice too.
16. Eggs are a real commodity.
17. Cake mix and frosting makes it possible to make a child’s birthday cake.
18. Dishwashing detergent is very expensive and is always appreciated.
19. Feminine hygiene products are a luxury and women will cry over that.
20. Everyone loves Stove Top Stuffing.

In all the years I have donated food at the Holidays, I bought what I thought they wanted but have never asked. I am glad I did. If you are helping a Family this Christmas, maybe this can help you tailor it more. It does for me!
