Rotary Club of Terrell had the honor to welcome Ross Rolirad as presenter at the most recent luncheon. Ross is the Polio Plus Chair for District 5810.

We learned about the history of the polio virus and Rotary’s participation in its eradication. Some important things to note, there is NO CURE for polio. Prevention is the only way to keep polio from returning. Vaccination is key. Without Rotary’s participation in eradicating polio, polio could infect up to 200,000 children every year. While numbers are small, polio still exists, primarily in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Rotary club of Terrell had the honor of giving five deserving students scholarships toward their college careers. Congratulations to Emily Bunch, Ashden Anderson, Allison Craven, Addyson Alford, and Isabella Cutchall.

🐾💙 FurFest was a huge success this weekend!

Mary and Casi had an amazing time, and even Chuck & Angel got in on the fun 🙌

A huge thank you to Forney Brewing Company for the great service & hospitality throughout the event. The turnout was incredible!! The Forney Animal Shelter had lines out the door with people ready to adopt & support these amazing animals. 🐶🐱

From the live music 🎶 to the vendors, adoptions, & community support, it was an awesome day benefiting both local shelters and cancer awareness efforts.

Big shoutout to the The Leatherwood Foundation and everyone who helped make FurFest happen! 💙🐾⚙️

Please help us welcome our newest member, Bryan Oliver, to Rotary Club of Terrell. Bryan L Oliver is a veteran and an attorney new to our area. He found our club on Google and has been visiting with us for the past several weeks. We are lucky to have him as our newest Rotarian!

If you are interested in hanging out with us, please join us at a meeting. We meet on Thursdays from 12-1pm at 200 Elm Drive in Terrell. Next Thursday, April 30th, we will be holding our quarterly social at Forney Brewing Company(no lunch meeting that day).
