PROTECT TERREBONNE'S WATER
For almost two years TDWD has been trying to get permits from Deschutes County to keep health hazards away from our community’s wells. The Deschutes County ignored our requests for over a year. When a response finally happened the Deschutes County was not willing to issue such a permit and threatened to have one of our wells removed. This action is extremely concerning as in a request to help protect our community’s water source Deschutes County reacts with threats to remove one of our water sources! The well the threatened to remove was drilled in 1911… Deschutes County was not formed until 1916. It should make everyone stop and ask, why is Deschutes County doing this?... And is it fair to the community? TDWD does not think so, if you agree please sign the petition and voice your concerns to the Deschutes County Commissioners.
