Today at 0930 hrs, WVFD was requested by East Earl Township Police to assist with removing a dog from a storm drain. Crews were able to safely remove the dog, and the dog was returned to it's owners.

WVFD and Pumper-Tanker 32 (Fivepointville Fire Company - Station 32) were dispatched for a reported wheat field on fire. Engine 302 arrived to find a small fire burning in the field. The fire was held in check by helpful neighbors with fire extinguishers. Units extinguished and finished up containment..

Time on scene, 27 minutes.

It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of past president James “Jim” Eberly, father of current Fire Chief Shannon Eberly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Chief Eberly and his family.

James D. "Jim" Eberly, 72 of Lititz, lived a life dedicated to the Lord and on Friday June 19, 2026, that faith was made sight when he was welcomed home
