This June, you're invited to experience one of the fastest-growing sports in the country!

Our Learn to Row Camp is open to youth ages 13-17 from ANY school district, including homeschool students. ** No experience necessary. Just come ready to try something new.

The Big Ten Rowing Championships are coming to Indianapolis May 16–17, bringing some of the top collegiate rowing programs in the country to compete right here in Indiana.

If you’ve never seen rowing at this level, it’s worth the trip. The speed, the precision, the teamwork, it’s a completely different experience in person.

For our athletes and anyone in the community who’s curious about the sport, this is a great opportunity to see what rowing can look like at the next level.

Come witness the fish diversity of Otter Creek at 11:00 am tomorrow, as IDEM will be doing an electrofishing demo (weather permitting)!

Also at Noon: Providence Wildlife Rehabilitation presents raptor education with their ambassadors: Stirling (great horned owl) and Artemis (barred owl)!!

In addition, there will be FREE HOTDOGS and Ouabache Land Conservancy will have FREE TREES of the following species: white oak, red oak, tuliptree, black walnut and black cherry.

Migration is peaking, and we will witness close to 400 million birds flying through tonight!

It is imperative that we take a few simple steps so that our winged friends can reach their breeding grounds safely:

• Treat glass with Feather Friendly visual markers or Bird Divert Clear UV markers
• Keep lights out at night.

We are so excited to support Birthday on the Bash put on by WTWO TV! This June 27th, Fairbanks Park will be the place to be as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday with music, food, and patriotic pride.

As part of this massive community celebration, we are doing something a little different this year! We’re bringing our favorite Explore Wabashiki vendors and activities directly to Birthday on the Bash. You can visit them a long with many others throughout the day!

Don't worry! We still have plenty of hiking and outdoor activities planned for the Wetlands in September, but for June, it’s all about the Bash!
