The Next Step Foundation was started by a group of individuals who started a running program at a local homeless shelter and came face to face with the fact that there were no women-only sober-living facilities in the Wabash Valley for those desiring to take the “next step” toward recovery. Together, this group formed a foundation and purchased a facility at 619 Washington Ave in Terre Haute to pr

ovide a much-needed residential environment for up to 20 women that provides recovery group meetings, 12-step studies, Bible Study, meals, housing, utilities, local telephone service, and laundry facilities. The facility is also a meeting place and educational resource for the recovery community throughout the Wabash Valley by hosting 12-Step meetings and providing life skills training, counseling, job skills training and other services necessary to support those in recovery.
