A friend of our theatre community is putting on a stage combat workshop in Olympia, and we want to help spread the word.

What: A four hour workshop on the basics of unarmed stage combat, covering safety protocol, basic strikes and blocks, safe partnering, and movement training. Taught by SAFD certified instructor Paul Engler Ray.

When: Saturday, August 8, 10:00 am to 2:30 pm

Where: Washington Center Black Box Theater, 512 Washington St SE, Olympia

Cost: $100

Tickets and info: https://www.washingtoncenter.org/event/stage-combat-workshop-unarmed-2026-08-08/

This is a great opportunity for actors, directors, or anyone curious about stage combat to learn from a certified professional. If cost is a barrier for you, please message TYT directly. We are happy to connect you with the organizer so you do not miss out.

Spots are limited and the workshop is happening soon, so if you are interested, do not wait to grab a ticket!

When you come to show with Tenino Young at Heart Theatre we can guarantee many things! You will see amazing sets, beautiful costumes, actors that truly love what they do, you will be entertained and every show will be filled with magic- last nights magic left us all excited and wishing the best for one of our lead actors and one of our board members! We wish Maddy & Mason a life time of love, happiness and patience (more patience than typically needed because it takes hours and hours of commitment over the span of multiple months to bring you these amazing shows!)

But it gets better! This amazing business does such high quality, quick work with the best prices that we were able to find that we are excited to share that for the first time ever we will have TYT merch available for sale at our shows!
