Our students were so excited to visit Tenafly Veterinary Center! 🐶 🐈

On our tour, we saw an exam room with a scale and learned that a dog has 42 teeth! We learned about tools for teeth cleaning and a warming table to make the animal comfortable.

We loved seeing the x-ray room and got to try on the lead shields and see a real x-ray!

We continue to be so grateful to Nava and her family for their support of The Springboard School! For her bat mitzvah, Nava baked and sold cookies and raised over $1,800 for our program!

Nava's brother, Itai, and his friends in our class play with the puppet theater, puppets (delivered and built by Nava, her mom, Abby, and her brother Aryeh), and other toys and games that she funded daily. Her mitzvah project continues to enhance our classroom!

We’ve been enjoying our “Let’s Play Space” unit in class, working together to learn about space shuttles, the moon, and our solar system. Our students are learning just how big our universe is. 🚀

Teaching play with “Let’s Play” scripts is an important part of our Springboard curriculum. Our students internalize the play scripts adding on to them as well as making up their own using story starters generated by the class. Everyone is very excited to have their turn with the different jobs: shopper, cashier and bagger. We are learning a lot about “Let’s Play Grocery Store” at Springboard!

These developmental disorders, along with high functioning autism, are the ones most frequently seen in our students.

We are so proud of the hundreds of children who have graduated our program over the past 45 years, and so full of admiration for their amazing and devoted parents who have partnered with us and worked so hard to help their children to succeed!
