Alumni Turf Group

Alumni Turf Group Our first event held in 2004 at Hickory Ridge Country Club in South Amherst Ma was an overwhelming success.

The Alumni Turf Group (ATG), formed in 2005, is made up of turf professionals who are graduates of the Stockbridge School of Agriculture and the University of Massachusetts. This event was years in the making and primarily an effort to further the funding of the new Research Center building in South Deerfield. The response from the participants encouraged a group of the alumni captains to form the

Alumni Turf Group in 2005 and continue the drive to support turfgrass research. We have hosted numerous events and funded an endowment that is now in excess of 430,000 dollars, as well as direct funding of some research requests. A portion of the funds annual interest will be directed to research needs on an as needed basis. This will be determined by the program director with Alumni Turf Group input and approval.
