Amaris Reynoso Apple Blossom Medical Fund

Amaris Reynoso Apple Blossom Medical Fund In Amaris' 15 years she has had dentures at 5yo, braces, and will need a full set of implants once matured. We are saving for what our insurance wont cover.

This is ran by me, her mommy, Katie Reynoso, and her daddy, Benjamin Reynoso. All of her sisters, cousins, and her brother are her support group, encouragers, and confidence builders. With out them, Amaris would feel so alone. With them, she is built up and encouraged, and her confidence is proven to be stronger each day.

Well we've finally started fundraising for Amaris Reynoso Apple Blossom Medical Fund . Last year we were given the green light for Amaris to start her implant/ jaw bone graphing/ reconstruction surgery, journey by the UCLA Craniofacial and Plastic Surgery Team. The top plastic surgeon on the team told us, after you raise the 100k, come back and we'll get her started. That was honestly a blow to the gut. We were so happy to be able to start, but by no means could we.. but peeps, that won't stop us.. we're working on a gofundme as well as other cool fundraisers.
Please consider helping us help Amaris so she can get a jawbone and teeth so she can eat normally.

Hey friends and supporters of Amaris... I can't believe how time has flown by with this beautiful girl.. Sooooo many Dr appointments over the years, so much character and confidence growth for Ben and I, our girls, and Sweet Amaris. Amaris is suuuch an amazing young lady.. She's full of s***k, confidence, generosity, beauty, joy and love. We're about to embark on a new journey with the UCLA Craniofacial team. Right now we're trying to figure out logistics and which team (Plastic Surgery or Dental) will take the lead on Amaris' journey to get a full mouth of implants. They've discussed jaw surgery, bone grafts, and reconstruction.. Whatever it may be, ready or not... Here we go...

So I know it's been a long time since we've posted and a lot has happened since we posted.. Amaris had retinal scar tissue removal surgery February 16th, 2017...Wow that was an intense and long recovery process... she also goes in October 10th, 2017 for another eye surgery to strengthen the muscles and repair her lazy left eye... With her eye getting lazy this last year she/we realized she had peripheral blindness on her left eye on her nasal side... We are hopeful (and to be honest really nervous) that when her eyes are working together the blind spots will go away. She has had this issue since she was born we were told.. So fingers crossed it gets corrected.. Pray for Amaris this next week... Katie Reynoso

This is Fantastic!! We are sooo excited to be a part of this AMazing group of friends!! Parents For Joy!!

A year ago, a group of local moms had a vision to build a special-needs playground in Atascadero but few plans in place. Now, Parents for Joy hopes to break ground on their $500,000 park next year.

Well, Summer has been Great!! Lots of swimming in the Templeton pool, camping out in the backyard, watching movies on the back patio with our movie projector with friends, sleepovers, Adventures to the beach, hosting China students for two weeks, visiting her Grandma (Pita) as well as her Great-Grandma and Grandpa in Nevada for a week, home relaxing, and a few birthday parties in July.. With LOADS more I cant remember right now.. Lol... This coming Fall, Amaris is going into the 5th grade.. Wowsers!! This is a year of continuing to building her self-esteem,dealing with adversary and bullying, excelling in her education, alongside LOADS of Medical/Dental/Vision Appointments...I am so proud of Amaris.. In who she is. In what she has taught us. She is truly an Overcomer.

Ectodermal Dysplaisa is a form of Incontinentia Pigmenti (Amaris's lovely condition). The NFED is our Umbrella Organization because there aren't very many people affected by I.P... Please take the time to read this and understand why we have a heart to spread the word and help raise funds for the children and adults affected. Thanks!!

Our mission is to empower and connect people touched by ectodermal dysplasias through education, support and research.

Amaris has had her braces now for a little over a month now. the bottom wire slid so far over twice that she had to get the wire cut once, and then a new wire pit in and have the edges clamped to prevent further slidage. Poor lil thing thought her cheek being sliced open was normal. Thankfully my sister, Julie Marshall, and Amaris' local dentist, Dr. Forrester, at Clinica de Tolosa, made arrangements with a local orthodontist, who is willing to help Amaris out with braces issues inbetween trips to UCSF at any time. So cool!! Amaris has adjusted pretty darn well...Love this little girls heart..
