A few member’s of TVFD went toMossy Creek Stables today to help Sharon Canne Re put her loop harness system on her baby Moose. TVFD will be getting this same system to help lift horses should the need arrive. We watched a short video on how to put it on and then got it on the “little guy”. Thank you to the TFVD auxiliary for making this purchase for us. With all the horses in town definitely something we need. Thank you Sharon for the pics.

Mayday! Mayday! Mayday! Firefighter down! - are not words any of us want to hear, but it does happen, and we train to respond appropriately.

Last night, the Temple Volunteer Fire Department spent a few hours practicing rescue techniques for pulling a downed firefighter out of a burning building. We used a smoke barrel to create thick smoke, ran hose lines as we would for a real fire, then responded when the "call" came in that a firefighter was down.

We practice, but hope we never have to use such a crucial skill.

Thanks to Justin Dole from SWNH Alerts & Info for taking the pictures.
