HKRS Families - It’s a beautiful sunny day today!! ☀️ ☀️

Races start at 4pm today! If you missed last week’s races please be sure to arrive 10-15 minutes early so you can pickup your shirt and race numbers.

We will be at Chisholm Trail Park, grassy area where the soccer fields are.

2PM UPDATE:

HKRS Families,



We are going to try and make this work today!



Here is the plan:



Races will begin at 4pm



We will all meet at the HEB Pavilion that is located at Chisholm Trail Park (near the baseball diamonds). Here we will have our registration table, packet and t-shirt pickup, etc..

All of our races will start/finish from the Pavilion building. This will give us covering for kids and parents to hang out at while the races start/finish.



Please arrive early so that we have plenty of time to get you everything you need; race numbers, pins, markers, t-shirts, instructions, etc.

If the weather does happen to get worse (hard rain, wind gusts, lightning, etc.), we will immediately stop races for the day.



Please be patient as we work to relocate and finalize the new hard surface courses. We are excited to see you out there and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Good afternoon HKRS families! An email has gone out with updates on today's races:

I have been watching the weather this morning and I just got back from checking out Chisholm Trail Park. It is currently just cloudy with a little bit of wind so at this time I would like to try and keep the races scheduled for today at 4pm. We will, however, be moving races to HARD SURFACES as there were just too many low and slippery spots that I did not feel it would be safe, especially for the younger ages.

That said, the latest weather forecast shows potential for thunderstorms starting up again around 2pm, so I am going to provide another update at that time to once again confirm races. If it starts to rain hard with heavy wind gusts, I will likely make the decision to postpone today's event.
