This isn’t just a building—it’s a collaborative space where multiple nonprofits come together to serve the Temple community. By sharing resources like a computer lab, meeting space, and training areas, we’re able to keep costs low, increase access, and serve more people—together.

Coming Soon: Workforce Computer Lab at Community First Non-Profit Hub

There’s an old saying: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

But we love this perspective even more:
Give someone the answer, and it’s temporary. Teach them the principles behind it, and they can create their own solutions for life.

That’s exactly what we’re building. Something for the Youth, Adults, and Seniors.

Our upcoming Workforce Computer Lab isn’t just about access to computers—it’s about equipping people with real skills, real knowledge, and real confidence to navigate today’s workforce and create their own opportunities.

From digital literacy to career training and certifications, we are preparing our community not just to find jobs—but to build futures.

A huge THANK YOU to Heart of Texas Goodwill for awarding New Life Community Development Center a $2,000 Workforce Award through their Good Neighbor Voucher Program!

This support will directly benefit our Caleah and Curley Career Closet, helping individuals step into interviews and new opportunities with confidence, dignity, and the right tools to succeed.

100 Goodwill Bucks @ $20 each means real impact—real people, real opportunities, and real transformation. This is what community partnership looks like!

Together, we are building pathways to employment, confidence, and a brighter future.

1st Quarter Progress Update – Your generous contributions at work for the Community First Non-Profit Hub
We’re excited to share that real progress is happening!

✔️ New roof completed
✔️ Utilities are on
✔️ Electrical work in place
✔️ Plumbing and restroom repairs underway
✔️ Workforce computer labs taking shape

What started as a vision is now becoming a space of opportunity, growth, and transformation right here in Temple. Seeing the lights on in this building is more than progress—it’s purpose in motion. Now we see the real progress.

We still have big-ticket items ahead, but step by step, we’re building something that will serve our community for years to come. Thank you to everyone who continues to support, believe, and invest in this work.

From Fire Station to Future Hub — Watch Out, Temple!

Big things are happening at 1018 E Avenue A!

Since purchasing Temple's long-vacant Fire Department No. 2 in January, we have been hard at work transforming this historic building into something truly special for our community!

What was once abandoned — and later home to Family Promise before their relocation — is now becoming the Community First Non-Profit Hub, a first-of-its-kind shared workspace for nonprofit organizations across the Temple community!

Operating under New Life Community Development Center, Inc., the Hub will bring together multiple nonprofit partners under one roof, creating an integrated network of wraparound services, including:

Thanks to Meta, in March, the New Life Community Development Center received a $25,000 Meta Data Center Community Action Grant!

A heartfelt THANK YOU for this incredible investment in our community! This grant will directly fund the construction, equipment, software, and staffing for our Career Building and Workforce Training Computer Lab at the Community First Non-Profit Hub — bringing real, hands-on technology access to youth, teens, adults, and seniors across Temple.

This investment fuels our mission to expand workforce development, digital learning, and future-ready skills for families throughout Bell County. Meta's support means more doors open, more lives changed, and more opportunities created right here at home.
