Late last month, the Office of Head Start proposed changes to Head Start regulations related to staff wages and benefits. In response, a national committee of Head Start parents has written a sign-on letter to share their perspectives with the Office of Head Start during the public comment period.
Head Start parents know firsthand what this program makes possible for children, families, and communities. As federal leaders consider potential changes, it is important that they hear directly from the parents and caregivers who rely on Head Start every day.
The deadline to sign the letter is today, Tuesday, June 9, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
