🏴‍☠️ The Pirates of Penzance singing “With Cat-Like Tread”

🏴‍☠️ Loudly bragging about their exceptional cat-like stealthiness, the Pirates burst forth on the scene to do a “little burglary”

💙 Tim Cooper as the Sergeant and Savannah Garth as Edith, performing “When the Foeman Bares His Steel”

💙 The timid sergeant and his squad of policemen psych themselves up to fight ruthless pirates, only to become completely unnerved by being reminded by Edith and her sisters that they are likely marching to death and slaughter 😬

🌸Abby Mann as Mabel, singing “Poor Wandering One” to Frederic

🌸Here Mabel compares Frederic to a lost sheep, hoping to reform him from his life as a pirate. She offers him her heart, while her sisters continue to comedically and categorically deny theirs

⭐️Jerry Tesch as Frederic, singing “Oh, Is There Not One Maiden Here” with the Daughters of the Major General

⭐️Oh, Is There Not One Maiden Here is a comedic aria where the hero, Frederic, begs the group of young women to save him from his life as a pirate. He humorously asks if any woman cares enough about duty to marry him out of pity, only for the chorus of maidens to flatly reject him

💙 Every year at camp, we have a Director’s Award that is passed on from person to person each night. This year it was called the Secret Treasure Award. Each recipient chooses the next, to recognize his or her christlikeness, dedication, teamwork, and leadership. It is a great honor and privilege to receive the Award. 💙
