Woman's Club of Temple City The Club’s objective is to promote philanthropic work in the community. Members are of various backg Club members have served the community in many ways.

The Woman’s Club of Temple City was founded December 4, 1925 to promote cultural and philanthropic work among its members and to develop interest in civic, social and educational areas of the community. The “Temple City Camellia Festival” started in 1944 and was the idea of a club member. Temple City was named the “Home of the Camellias” due to the idea of another member. Donations are given annua

lly to Temple City Unified School District schools for: libraries, scholarships and the Brighterside Singers. In addition, donations are made to Door of Hope; Friends of the Temple City Library; and the Historical Society of Temple City. In 2006, the Club House and property were deeded to the Historical Society of Temple City. The Temple City Library was located within the facility until 1952. Over the years, the Club House has been used for several churches; the Camellia Society for 20 years before it moved to the Arboretum in Arcadia; dance groups; wedding receptions, and appeared in movies and television programs

The Holidays are upon us… and on behalf of the Performing Arts Department, we would like to invite you to Songs for a Winter's Night, the 2023 Holiday Concert to be held on Tuesday, December 5th at 7:00pm at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse.

You’ll hear wonderful selections from our Brighter Side Singers, Combined Choirs, Oak Avenue Chorus, the Elementary Choirs, Choreo, members of our esteemed band and Honors Orchestra. Holiday selections for the Winter season will be performed, and of course the grand finale, Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus.

Attention residents: Temple Station, along with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, will be conducting an active shooter exercise and training at the vacant business complex (5900 block Cloverly Ave.) behind Cloverleaf.

Please note that deputies will be using blanks and simulated ammunition (simunition) rounds and part of the training. The training/exercise will be held on Tuesday, October 17, from 5 a.m. – 7 p.m.

There will be no threat to the general public. For questions, please contact Temple Station at (626) 285-7171.

The Rose Queen and Royal Court are iconic traditions, steeped in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses’ history and we are excited to continue the treasured legacy with the 2024 Royal Court.
