We’ve had some fun this summer! ☀️
One of the best parts of being an Agency Review volunteer is getting to step beyond the application process, visit nonprofits selected for funding, and see their missions in action.

This summer, our volunteers visited several incredible organizations, including:
🏡 Child Crisis Arizona — providing emergency shelter, foster care, early education, and family support services.
🎵 Higher Octave Healing — using music therapy to help people of all ages and abilities thrive.
💙 La Frontera EMPACT — providing comprehensive crisis and community behavioral health services for children, adults, and families.

Seeing their work up close makes the Agency Review process even more meaningful. We’re grateful for the chance to learn, connect, and see firsthand the incredible impact happening across our community. 💙

For more than 40 years, Tempe Community Council has managed Agency Review—the community-driven process that helps distribute City of Tempe funding and community donations to local nonprofits serving Tempe residents.

But our work doesn't stop once funding is awarded.

We believe stronger nonprofits create a stronger community. That's why we work year-round to connect agencies with one another, foster partnerships, share resources, amplify their impact, and help organizations thrive beyond the grant cycle.
