In the past year, we have all learned a lot and it our vision to help as many people as we can, who have suffered spinal cord injuries, in all aspects of the recovery process and the necessary changes needed to become independent as quickly as possible. When a spinal cord injury occurs, the trauma of the injury itself is a tremendous burden. But at some point, the individual must return home, and
as Anthony did so, we all learned that there were many things that you might take for granted, that had to be addressed. From the simple things like changing the toilet for access from a wheelchair to more intensive tasks like changing the access to the shower and widening the doorways. There was also the process of accessing the state and federal programs offered, and needed, that took patience and perseverance. Having gone through the above and many other tasks that seem minor at first, but are critical to the path of independence, we decided to come together as a group and offer our help to those in need. Your donations, no matter how big, will help us begin this process. But we are looking to do even bigger things, we want to not just bring independence, but hope as well. This is where Project Walk comes in. Project Walk is an organization that has locations all around the United States and with your donations, we want to help as many people as possible to go there and participate in the programs they have to offer. So our first priority is to send our brother, friend, to this facility and in the process make sure we document all steps and action items taken, no matter how small, so that as we send others, we can make sure the journey taken is one that is focused on the therapy Project Walk offers and not on the details of getting to the facility, housing and anything else that will distract our participants. Send as many people who are unable to otherwise financially, to Project Walk by paying the costs
Send as many people as possible who may have the financial means, but do not have the support system to manage the trip and be there to guide, inspire and praise. Helping individuals find the right resources to make any home improvements so access with a wheel chair is possible
Helping individuals navigate the state and federal programs that are available
Helping individuals find support groups in their area
Helping individuals with the cost of purchasing a handicap enabled vehicle
Helping individuals with the cost of purchasing wheelchairs
Helping individuals find the right doctors in their area
Helping individuals find any and all community resources available in their area

If you are part of a church, you can contact us and we will come out, lead praise and worship and discuss this process with your church. If you are part of any organization, religious or not, you can contact us and we would be happy to come out and share our experience. We are Christians, and this idea was born at our Men’s group one Saturday morning. But our help to others does not care if you are someone who is religious, nor do we care what you have done, where you have been. What we seek is to be an organization that will grow and become known for its work in bringing independence and hope to others who have experienced a spinal cord injury worldwide. But we can’t do it alone. we need your help with donations and passing the information on to as many others as possible
