What are you supposed to do when you’re stuck inside on a 113 degree day? Well, make pickles and pesto of course! Gotta use the few things that are still growing in the garden. Armenian cucumbers and basil can take the heat! ☀️🥒🌿🥵☀️

Oh! And don’t forget the jalepenos! 🌶️🔥☀️

Grown by one of our members and donated to the foodbank!

Fun Facts- They are excellent sources of Vitamin A (from beta-carotene), Vitamin K, and fiber. Eating them cooked actually provides more nutrients than raw, as heat releases more beta-carotene.
