In honor of National Service Dog Appreciation Month, we’re sharing this beautiful reminder of the incredible bond between service dogs and the people they support.

Corina Sapienza once said, “Having a service dog by your side is like having someone to walk with you in the dark, never leaving until it’s light again.”

Service dogs provide so much more than assistance. They offer support, independence, companionship, and a sense of security to people with disabilities every day. 💙

📚 Is your child’s IEP ready for the school year?

With the school year in full swing, now is a great time to revisit your child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). If this is your child’s first year with an IEP, the process can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone!

Encircle Families - formerly Raising Special Kids is offering virtual IEP training sessions in English and Spanish this month to help families better understand the special education and IEP process. 💙

👉Join the Autism Society of Southern Arizona on Saturday, November 14th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at The Abbie School in Tucson for a pop-up art and performance showcase. This event will display beautiful art pieces created by Autistic minds of all ages. Art will be on display all day and there will also be live performances!

Over 96% of our admin team has personal or hands-on experience with developmental disabilities. That’s why quality care matters so deeply to us. Recently our Director of Area Management, Ale De Los Santos, reflected on the reasons why she serves our community.

She said, “I serve the disability community because I have always been passionate about helping others and advocating for individuals who may not have the support or opportunity to advocate for themselves…”

As we celebrate National Wellness Month, we’re reminded that wellness includes not only taking care of our bodies, but also our minds. This also means knowing when we need to slow down and take a breath.

Deja Young, a two time Paralympic track and field gold medalist once said, “When I would feel overwhelmed I’d just push through because I thought that’s what I had to do. Now I think, ‘Why am I pushing through this? Who are you doing this for?’”

Deja Young has been very open about the importance of checking in with yourself mentally and making time for wellness. Her reminder is simple: you don’t always have to push through. Sometimes, taking a step back is exactly what your mind and body need. 💙

We are looking to hire providers in Arizona! This includes seasonal, part-time, and full time positions.

👉Right now, new and existing providers earn a $100 bonus when they start services for a current member who is in need of services. The bonus will be paid after services have been provided to the member for more than 60 days.

Requirements for our agency are that you must:
☑️Be 18 years or older
☑️Have at least three months of experience working with someone with a disability
☑️Complete a background check
☑️Obtain a fingerprint clearance card
☑️Complete CPR, Article 9, and First-Aid training

👉We also provide reimbursements for the above required training and certifications. Other benefits offered include paid training time, paid sick time, and health benefits.
