The Underground Foundation at ASU (TUFASU)

The Underground Foundation at ASU (TUFASU) TUF is an organization founded by ASU Students dedicated to solidifying and improving an independent music and art scene in our community.

The Underground Foundation is an organization founded by a group of at Arizona State University for students with interests and passions that typically go unrecognized and under-developed by the majority of the university population and administration. TUF showcases bands, musicians, poets, and visual artists; most of whom are students. TUF also supplies members with free and/or discounted access

to shows and apparel. TUF also engages philanthropic organizations by utilizing the potential of art and music to make the world a better place for human beings. The Underground Foundation at ASU’s Safer Space Policy:
If you experience harassment, abuse, assault, or any other kind of violation during a TUF event, or if someone who has engaged in such behavior and is adversely affecting your participation at the event, or for any other reason you need support, please report this to a TUF officer. When a decision needs to be made to give 'benefit of the doubt' to someone who was/has been engaged in harassment, abuse, assault, the preference will be to support the survivor. Decisions will be made in accordance to the wishes of the victim. TUF will immediately ban the perpetrator of harassment and then abide by the wishes of the victim by not involving the University or police unless desired by the survivor. If you are asked to leave the event in accordance with this policy, please do so immediately or you will be removed. TUF is a safe space where there is to be absolutely no harassment, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or violence of any kind. Those failing to abide by this policy will be promptly removed and banned from further events. This applies everyone, including officers and dues-paying members. We want to be welcoming and engaging, and we encourage everyone to be proactive in creating an atmosphere where the safety of others is validated. In this spirit, TUF is survivor centric and survivor oriented, and violence, abuse, sexual assault and discrimination will not be tolerated. Everyone entering TUF events are asked to be aware of their language and behavior, and to think about whether it might be harmful to others. By entering TUF, and/or participating in TUF events and activities, you agree to abide by the following guidelines. If you experience harassment, abuse, or sexual assault, or if a perpetrator of sexual violence is interfering with your participation or presence at an event or in a space, please approach a TUF officer talking to in person or via email. They are here to help with any conflicts arising from the violation of our policies. We welcome the continuing discussion about and improvement of this policy.

Today, it is with immense sadness that we announce The Underground Foundation will no longer be hosting events.

Although TUF has contributed to the local scene by hosting a variety of shows over the years, there comes a time when every project comes to an end. While it is sad to see TUF go, we are confident that other organizations will keep the community alive and well like they always have.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the success of this club. Thank you all for the years of entertainment and encouragement. Thank you to every band member, artist, poet, photographer, and fan. We could never have done it without you.
