🦋 Why join the PTO? Because our school community is stronger when more of us are involved.

This NPR story about school fundraising got us thinking about something important: PTOs can do amazing things for schools—but those things take people. And when only a small number of families participate, a lot of the work (and fundraising pressure!) ends up falling on the same few people.

At Meyer, we want PTO to be about more than raising money. We want it to be a way to build community, connect families, support our teachers and staff, and create experiences our kids will remember.

And joining PTO does not mean signing up for a second job. ❤️

Maybe you can volunteer at one event.
Maybe you have a great idea.
Maybe you have a connection to a local business.
Maybe you can donate supplies.
Maybe you can help for 30 minutes.
Maybe you simply come to a meeting and add your voice to the conversation.

It all counts.

The more families who participate, the more ideas we have, the more representative our PTO becomes, and the less we have to ask of any one person.

🦋 What difference does the PTO really make? Ask our teachers! 💙

We can tell you where PTO dollars go. We can share fundraising totals. We can post pictures from events.

But sometimes the best way to understand the impact of our PTO is to hear directly from the teachers who see it in their classrooms every day.

🍕🦋 WOW, MONARCHS! 🦋🍕

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to support our Peter Piper Pizza fundraiser! Thanks to our amazing Meyer Montessori community, we raised $626.89 for our school! 🎉💰

We are so grateful to everyone who grabbed some pizza, played some games, and helped make the night such a success. Every fundraiser helps the PTO continue supporting our students, teachers, classrooms, and all the fun extras that make Meyer such a special place. ❤️

And a big thank you to Peter Piper Pizza for hosting us!
